Learning to Follow (Numbers 10:13)

11 On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted up from above the Tabernacle of the Testimony.
12 Then Bnei-Yisrael set out on their travels in the Sinai wilderness. The cloud came to rest in the wilderness of Paran.
13 So they set out the first time by the mouth of Adonai by Moses’s hand.

Reflect (By Aybars Uckun):
For forty years the children of Israel followed the physical presence of God in the form of cloud by day and a fire by night. On this day, in the second year of wandering in the wilderness, the cloud lifted and moved and the children of Israel packed everything up and followed. Can you imagine how amazing it must have been to follow the physical presence of God? Or how odd it must have been to be walking in circles for forty years because of the people’s failure to take the Promised Land as God had commanded? Maybe you have had a similar experience, but instead of wandering in the desert you’ve been stuck in a pattern that’s left you wanting more. The good news is that we can encounter the tangible presence of God when we accept Yeshua into our lives! After we do this, the Holy Spirit will come into our lives to lead us out of the negative patterns we’re stuck in and into an amazing and awesome future. All we have to do is surrender our desire to lead and learn to follow!

Prayer: Lord, I surrender to my desire to lead You. Instead I want to follow. I want You to guide my steps and life in a brand new way. I want to see and feel the tangible Spirit of God in my life. Amen.
