When We’re Weary, He Speaks Life
Daniel 10:17-19
17 'For how can this servant of my Lord speak with my Lord since no strength remains in me and no spirit is left in me?’
18 “Again the one who looked like a man touched me and strengthened me.
19 Then he said: ‘Highly valued man, do not fear! Shalom to you. Be strong, now! Chazak!’

Even as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’
Reflect:
2020 was a taxing year for all of us because the hits just. Kept. Coming. Whether it was Covid-19, a very toxic election, civil unrest, the loss of loved ones, the loss of jobs, etc., we might be weary like Daniel was; perhaps his words “no strength remains in me and no spirit is left in me” resonate with you. Friends, this weariness is exactly where God wants to meet us! He desires to speak to us during these 14 nights of devotion in ways that will affirm our relationship with Him, quell our fears, and bring us His shalom. As we seek Him together during this time, allow His word to speak life into your weariness and give you the strength!

Prayer:
Abba, please help us to “cast all our cares upon You, because You care for us.” During these nights of devotion, we ask that You would revive those who are weary from the events of the past year-and-a-half. Use this time to affirm our relationship with You, remove our fears and give us access to the peace and strength that only You can provide.
In Yeshua’s name, amen.
