Purim Costume Party

Join us in the sanctuary on March 23 from 4-6pm for our Purim Costume Party! Purim is the celebration of Esther. Esther is one of the most amazing stories in the Bible. It is the story of a young Jewish girl daring to stay true to the God of Israel and saving her people from certain destruction. Interestingly, God is actually not mentioned in the book of Esther but we know He is working behind the scenes to make sure Israel is not destroyed. Just as God was undercover, we too celebrate by dressing up in costumes!

With that in mind, we're encouraging everyone to come in your favorite costume and enjoy live music from Ezekiel's Bones, hear the telling of the Esther story, and bake some tasty treats for the hamantaschen-making contest. There will also be prizes for costumes!

If you're entering the hamantaschen contest, please bring 1-2 dozen cookies, and have them clearly labeled with a description and your name. (Bring your cookies to the kitchen at the start of the party).

We will also be collecting money for the missions fund to send a team from Restoration to serve in a clinic in Zimbabwe with Jewish Voice Ministries this July. If you can't go on the trip yourself, then it is a good opportunity to donate to help someone else go!

We hope to see you there!
