COVID-19 Updates
March 11, 2020, 12:30pm
Dear Restoration family and friends,
At Restoration, the safety and well-being of our community is our utmost concern. In order to protect our community from the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have decided to cancel our Passover meals. There is precedent in the Torah for what we would call “second Passover” which occurs a month later for those who are unclean during Passover. With that in mind, there is a possibility of rescheduling the Passover meals at a later date. For those who have already purchased tickets, we will be issuing you a refund very soon.
We are also canceling this week’s Shabbat gathering, March 14, as well postponing the Members Business Meeting to a later date. We will be reevaluating whether or not to have our Shabbat gathering on a week-to-week basis. Updates will be available on the Restoration App and at www.shalomseattle.com.
We’ll continue posting sermons on the Restoration App and YouTube. You can find last week’s sermon here: https://subsplash.com/restoration/media/ms/+8w9xrzt.
We encourage you all to watch and share, as the messages speak to our current situation.
Although our everyday lives have been interrupted by the spread of the virus, this disruption in our “business as usual” routines presents an opportunity for us. In times like these, we must remember that God’s desire is to bring us His shalom. Even though our humanity is frail and our health and wellness can’t be taken for granted, we know “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28, TLV).” In times like these we may desire to give in to fear and panic. We must remember that He desires to be an inexhaustible source of healing, comfort, and strength for us and is nearby to all who call upon the name of Yeshua! May we use this time to reevaluate our physical, emotional, and spiritual states in light of this!
Please continue to pray along with us for the eradication of the COVID-19 virus and for God’s presence to continually be made known to our Restoration family, the city of Seattle, to all Israel, and to the entire world.
