How it all started...
Restoration was founded as Beit Messiah on Mercer Island in 2000. Beit Messiah continued as a small fellowship of people who met together to explore a Jewish expression of faith in Yeshua for 10 years led by Paul Stein.
In 2010, Matt Rosenberg and his family moved from New York to Seattle to become our fellowship's first full-time rabbi. In 2013, Matt wrote about the amazing transition from Paul Stein (read more here).

Replanted as Restoration...
In 2014, our small fellowship moved from Mercer Island to North Seattle and where we replanted under the name Restoration. Rabbi Matt laid out a vision which included: our mission - to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Yeshua, our new logo, and our six core values. We've seen God do incredible things in the hearts and minds of many people since we replanted as Restoration.
Where we are headed...
We believe that our little community is just at its beginning. As God works in us as a community, we trust God will lead others to Himself through us. We don't exist for ourselves but for our families, friends, and neighbors. We exist to show people Yeshua and to lead people to know Him and to follow Him with our hearts, souls, and minds. After 15 months of not meeting together in 2020 and 2021 we came back in May of 2021 and began the process of growing again in a post-pandemic world. Our Restoration App, Facebook and YouTube have continued to grow as people watch our sermons from all different parts of the world!
