It's really important to understand the difference between sympathy and empathy when we interact with others. While sympathy is more about feeling sorry for someone, empathy is about understanding what they're going through and connecting with them on a deeper level. As followers of God, we should strive to show empathy to others just as He shows mercy to those who don't deserve it.
